QUALIFIED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLANNING OFFICER
Are you passionate about creating safe and efficient traffic management plans?
We’re looking for a qualified Victorian Traffic Planner to join our current team of five who are based at GAME’s Head Office in Shepparton. In this role, you be responsible for designing traffic management plans (TMPs) and traffic guidance schemes (TGSs) that comply with Austroads Guides to Temporary Traffic Management, Victorian legislation and codes of practice, and internal specific policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop accurate and timely traffic management plans (TMPs) in line with legislation, company policies, and relevant standards.
- Conduct risk and hazard assessments, documenting controls in all plans.
- Collaborate with customers, on-road staff, Department of Transport(DoT), local councils, emergency services, and other authorities to ensure comprehensive traffic management plans are accurately completed.
- Manage DoT and Council permit applications and requirements efficiently.
- Communicate operational requirements within your team and other Key Stakeholders within GAME to ensure smooth implementation of TMPS
What we’re looking for in our successful candidate
Current accreditation in
- Prepare a Work Zone Traffic Management Plan (RIICWD503D)
Or at least
- Traffic Management Designer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads (RIISS00063) (AustRoads TMD1)
- A current driver’s license.
- Understanding of safety management systems, practices, and procedures.
- Strong motivation to promote and communicate safe work practices.
- Experience in hazard minimization recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a results focus
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-driven
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong administrative skills and computer literacy.

We are seeking qualified Traffic Controllers who have a professional attitude to work, safety and enjoy providing great customer service. Opportunities are currently available at all our Depots for casual work across Eastern, Western and Central Victoria and Southern NSW.
As a minimum applicants must hold:
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) or equivalent
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Victorian Traffic Tickets
If Victorian traffic tickets obtained prior to 1 March 2024
Control Traffic with Stop/Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Management Plan (RIIWHS205E & RIIWHS302E) or equivalent
OR
If Victorian traffic tickets obtained after 1 March 2024
Austroads TC1 & TMI1 Skill Sets (RIISS00058 & RIISS00060) as a minimum
Applicants that live on the border with current NSW Traffic tickets are also encouraged to apply as GAME also works across Southern NSW.
Previous experience is a definite advantage but not mandatory as on the job training will be provided to applicants who can demonstrate they have a professional attitude to work, safety and enjoy providing great customer service.
